






Heineken is one of the sponsors of the FIB (International Festival of Benicassim), which is one of the most prestigious musical events in Europe.
The FIB is a festival that takes place in Benicassim, a small town on the Mediterranean coast. Every year this event attracts national and international audience. In 2005 the festival was held between the 4th and the 7th of August.
Heineken used Hypertag as a way of rewarding the FIB attendees and also as a way to drive traffic to the website Club Heineken.
Two marketers completely dressed in Heineken green wore the portable Hypertags and invited people to download a unique code, the URL of the Heineken Club and a small welcome message. Besides, every participant had the opportunity of winning 100 points exchangeable at the Heineken Club for free. They could also download a gif of Heineken’s logo to use as screensaver or wallpaper. To exchange the points for Heineken products, people only had to enter the site of the club, become a member and enter the code downloaded at the festival.
