Bluetooth Bus shelters: The Da Vinci Code
CLIENT: SONY PICTURES    AGENCY: OMD

This was the first of many successful outdoor Bluetooth campaigns managed by ivista for major brands, in this case Sony Pictures. The action was developed by the agency OMD for the premiere of the movie "The Da Vinci Code".

Ten Bluetooth hotspots with GPRS connectivity were installed in poster displays of bus shelters around the centre of Madrid to announce the premiere of the blockbuster film. The campaign, which took place in May, between the 9th and the 15th, was the first Bluetooth installation in bus shelters in Madrid.
ivista had to overcome several challenges to ensure a successful campaign including the lack of a constant electricity supply throughout the day, which was solved with the installation of rechargeable batteries at the base of the bus shelters.

People passing near the bus shelters just had to activate the Bluetooth in their mobile phones and then accept the invitation to receive a free trailer of the film, a screensaver and an alarm that activated on May 19th at noon to remind the launch of the film with a cryptic message.
