




The Tourism Department of the Provincial Government of Biscay, Spain, was looking for an innovative way to promote its stand in the local tourism fair called Expovacaciones 2006.
ivista provided innovative new tools for mobile marketing, offering citizens the opportunity to receive free content related to Expovacaciones on their mobile phones. The campaign took place in May, from the 15th to the 21st. The first three days, the campaign was carried out in the streets of Bilbao and the following days in Bilbao’s Exhibition Centre.
A group of street marketers carried the wearable Hypertags and encouraged people to download free content for their mobile phones. People who visited the stand “Bizkaia Bizi” at the Exhibition Centre could download a Java application via Bluetooth, which showed all events in each stand and screensavers with the logo of the Department of Tourism of the Provincial Council of Biscay.
