The small fashion store chain Smith & Smith from Bilbao had the honour of being the first clothing store in the world that allowed passers by to purchase goods from the store through a through window interactive display.
The company Xelectia worked with ivista to prepare a series of installations in stores that belonged to their group of online clients, with the aim of activating their sales and promoting their shops, using touch technology in their windows.
ivista installed a 40” holographic touch screen in the main window of the shop, which allows passers-by not only to be informed about the latest trends and collections, but also to book and buy any item even when the shop remains closed. They can also browse through the always humorous Christmas cards of the owner, as well as leave a message using the virtual keyboard. Through window speakers were also installed to allow for audio to be sent out through the glass of the shop window. The screen, with images and sound, is transparent so that the interior of the store is always visible, whether the screen is projecting content or not.
The originality of the installation received attention from media outlets around the country.
