







How much luckier could we get than have Samsung Mobile helped us launch our advergaming platform BIG! Mobilegames as a part of their advertising campaign for the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona?
Cheil Communications, Samsung’s Spanish in house ad agency, and the agencies CMG All Connections and Kanlli worked closely with ivista in this innovative marketing mobile action. BIG!mobilegames is our multiplayer videogame platform that allows players to participate in real time using mobile phones as joysticks.
Samsung used BIG!mobilegames to promote its new model SGH i450. The campaign took place in two of the most important shopping centers of Barcelona, L'Illa and Mare Magnum. A stand was installed in each mall with a large LED screen. A team of marketers invited the public to participate in the game and showed them the latest mobile phones from Samsung.
The game, called the Samsung Cup, was a fun football match, which also gave participants the chance to win a Samsung SGH i450. With the ability to incorporate up to 4 players per team, each participant could control the football player through the keyboard of a mobile phone. Each mobile phone was connected to the game via HSDPA (3.5 G), giving each player real time control over their player. The players and the audience could follow all the excitement of the game in the LED display.
Each match had two parts of 2 minutes with a 30 seconds break, during which a Samsung commercial was projected. When games were not being played, people could watch dynamic digital content related to Samsung Mobiles.
